I fell in love with the stunning gardens and the peaceful ambiance. The pool was perfect for laps, and the beautiful balcony overlooking the gardens was a good touch. I would choose this place again!

The rooms were decent sized with balcony kept by the outstandingly accommodating staff. Everything was very easy, savoury and delicious breakfast. The location was fantastic, near American Express. Plus, it was adjacent to the temple as well as all restaurants.

The hotel was lovely peaceful and placed in a historic-style building. The breakfast was savoury with fresh egg dishes made to order, greatly enjoyed it. The location was marvellous, relatively close to several great temples.

Beginning with the gracious greeting in the lobby of Mr. Nabil Ali, Assistant Front Office Manager, upon our arrival, each and everyone of the Winter Palace staff were exceptionally hospitable, warm and eager to help make our stay pleasant. In addition to the exceptional service, the "old world" architecture and the grounds of the hotel were stunning. I cannot compliment and recommend this hotel, and its staff, highly enough.
Nothing to say here.

The winter pavillion is in itself fine as a hotel but the thing that makes it truely special is that you can use the winter palaces facilities & grounds in which its set . The winter palace is the most beautiful hotel with all the romance of egypts time in the days of agatha christies death on the nile . There is a stunning bar for well made cocktails & a terrace looking out over the nile . The gardens are mature & lush where the pool is set & lunch enjoyed . The lobby area of the winter palace has the wow factor ! The staff were great too attentive & helpful as you would expect .

I got upgraded to the main Winter Palace Hotel for the same price, so that was great.

Great room on the 5th level over-looking the pool.
The shared services model of the Sofitel (front of house) and the Pavilion (rear of house) just feels a bit weird to me. Seems to work, pretty well. Perhaps separate entrances may work better. Small issue.

My 3 night stay at the Pavillon Winter Luxor was a most enjoyable experience. The facilities, staff and landscaped gardens of the the Hotel are a joy to behold. The hotel was a welcome home from home and peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Luxor city centre. The location could not be beaten either (3 minute walk to Luxor temple and 10 minute walk to the Luxor Museum). Karnak Temple is about a 25 minute walk. The twin room was ample in size and well furnished. There was a very good selection of satellite channells on the television in the room. The staff were courteous and accommodating. The overall impression I have of my stay is one of relaxation. I would recommend this hotel and I will certainly stay in the Pavilion Winter again if in Luxor in the future.

-Beautiful gardens and main building (Winter Palace) -Quiet -Good location
-There was no aircon in the room despite temperatures of 31 during the day; -luggage was lost upon arrival; -we asked for late check-out (hotel is empty) but were constantly pressured to leave earlier. We finally did leave earlier than planned and arrived 3 hours early at the airport. -Tv was not working properly -Breakfast was bad quality
